- DATA SECURITY
We cover data protection in construction projects
Data security is of high priority for us
Taking care of data protection is an essential part of our service
Aiforsite ensures the appropriate level of data protection at the site. We take care of the creation and management of secure user accounts. Data protection standards such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are taken into account in data management, service contracts and on the construction site.
We help you to communicate the purpose of data collection
We recommend that you take time in advance to consider the different kinds of data protection standards, such as GDPR. Aiforsite has a lot of practical experience in how data protection matters should be taken into account on a construction site.
You will get important details related to data protection, such as site sign templates that indicate data collecting, the automatic blurring out of people in collected visual materials, and sample clauses you may use in procurement agreements and privacy policy notices for employee and stakeholder communications.
Automated people blurring
Despite the real time visual monitoring, employee privacy is well protected: people are automatically blurred in visual materials such as stored videos and images.
Secure user account management
- We create user-specific accounts, not general accounts
- We use and enforce strong passwords
- Two-factor authentication may be used
- We store user account log data
High-level data protection
Aiforsite’s service and customer data are hosted in Hetzner’s data centre in Helsinki, Finland. The data stays in Finland and within the European Union. Hetzner’s data centres, including Helsinki, are certified to the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security standard, audited by an independent third-party certification body.
If a customer requires it, data can alternatively be stored with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. Both allow the storage location to be defined, for example within the European Union.
